These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the GreenBooks application (the “App”) and the GreenBooks website (the “Site”). By using the App or Site, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
GreenBooks is developed and provided by Yi Lin (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the App or Site.
3. License to use the App
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your own lawful purposes, subject to these Terms and any additional terms imposed by the platform you obtained the App from (for example, Apple’s App Store terms).
4. Purchases, subscriptions, and trials
GreenBooks may offer paid features, one-time purchases, subscriptions, and/or free trials.
- Platform billing: If you purchase through an app marketplace (e.g., the App Store), billing and refunds are handled by that marketplace under its terms.
- Renewals: Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled through the platform’s subscription settings.
5. Direct Connect (bank connections)
If you choose to use Direct Connect, the bank connection is provided through third parties (for example, Plaid). Your use of Direct Connect is also governed by the applicable third-party terms and your financial institution’s terms. We are not responsible for the services provided by your bank or those third parties.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App or Site for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App, Site, or related systems
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except to the extent permitted by law
- Misuse the Site (including scraping or abusing forms) in a way that harms the service or other users
7. Intellectual property
The App, Site, and their content (excluding content you provide) are owned by us and protected by applicable laws.
8. Disclaimer
GreenBooks is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- GreenBooks is not financial, legal, or tax advice. You are responsible for your financial decisions.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the App or Site.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App or Site at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Site if necessary to protect the service or comply with law.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App or Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
